Well, at 4 weeks of age the pups are starting to show their personalities.

Girlfriend is Ms. Eye-Contact. She looks at you and maintains the stare. She is very confident and observant. She thinks it through and gets what she wants.

MCM is not changing his outlook on life. He is a happy-go-lucky fellow. Very busy puppy. Nothing fazes him.

The Gino Brothers (Uno, Duo & Tres) got new puppy names.. this time based on their facial markings, which have become very distinctive.

Gino-Uno (pup #2) is now “Split”. He has a black mask on the right side of his face and the other side is merle.

Gino-Duo (pup #3) is now “Starburst” – he has a white star for a blaze on his muzzle, radiating evenly from the center.

Gino-Tres (pup #4) is now “Lightning”. Look at the thin white stripe on his face, just like a lightning bolt. OK, this picture doesn’t really show it that well, but trust me.. it’s there,

Yankee Spanky not only looks like his dad, but is starting to show the Big Yankee’s traits. He is using his front paws in a cat-like manner and has learned to give Sue a high-five.

Drumroll please: 1st pup out of the box – Lightning (Gino-Tres, #4)! The rest of the gang followed suite closely on his heels. It’s amazing how strong the little rascals are, .. We now have a tall x-pen around the whelping box.
